Its valentines day and I can think of one bachelor cat around here who could do with a date.
But be warned - Mr Big has no money and no experience ordering at restaurants - and I’m pretty sure he has never bought flowers before (he may have eaten a few though at some time).
Anyway - here’s a shout out on his behalf just in case!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Puppy’s have a bit of a monopoly of cute facial expressions - so bright and aware (or just plain dopey and innocent) - at any rate they are a source of such delight to owners - and to this photographer.
Its a precious time when you are young and puppies make the most of it if they are given love and good training to be themselves - and not troubled by confusion or bad experiences.
OK that’s enough of my ramblings. Hope you enjoy these shots of cuter than usual puppies at Amy’s Puppy School.
Warning: cute-o-meter overheating!

A Kiwi Kitty (Take 2) | cat photography
Did you ever hear a story about a Tiger who became a Monkey? You may have read, loyal reader :P, how a certain cat came into a house I was visiting in New Zealand over Christmas - walked right in from nowhere and made herself at home, for a while, before taking off again.
She was a familiar face in the neighbourhood but our hosts didn’t know who she really was or her name.
We called her "Tiger" and I did an impromptu photo shoot, published on this blog.
Well it turns out this moggins owners have now been discovered - living a few houses down from our host’s house. They also saw my blog post and got in contact!
Ok “Tiger's” name is really Monkey. She is an Ocicat with quite an outgoing personality and a social life to go with it.
So thanks to Monkey’s owners A+J for getting in touch and letting us know Monkey has a great home.
Its an example of social media filling in the gaps and creating a happy ending to the story. The story of the Tiger who was a Monkey :)
BTW - speaking of “social” - we have have two brother cats over here who are currently single! :D

misty the husky puppy | puppy dog photography
So I first met Misty the Husky puppy at Amy’s Puppy Pre-school and I was instantly taken by her mystic look.
Now, being the larger-than-the-other-puppies puppy in class, Misty was clumsy in every way although she was a very bright student of Amy’s and graduated at first go.
I received a call Misty’s ‘grandma’ wanting to plan a surprise Christmas present for Misty’s ‘parents’. I had a great time photographing Misty - though a puppy, I think she’ll grow up to be a fine young lady - classy and witty at the same time. Here’s the result from our photoshoot - hope you like them.
