It’s been “back to school” for us here at twoguineapigs – puppy school that is.
I won’t write about my own academic experiences - believe me you don’t want to know(!) - but it has been great recording the dayz of the puppies at Amy’s Puppy Pre-school.
BTW sorry this post is so late – could be an issue with my homework!
I met Amy, a talented puppy trainer, on the Internet. Who says you don’t meet cool people online any more? Once we met it was like – yep we can work together and maybe wonderful things will happen.
I love documenting Amy’s puppy classes - despite often having to sit in the full glaring sun. The puppy curriculum - and antics - are worth it.
In the long journey from puppydom to serious canine adulthood, a bit of education is the responsible thing to get: sign your pooch up for training and have your dog socialised.
Nothing more troublesome than a dog who can’t hold polite conversation!
Don’t wait until your pup is 3 months old - talk to a puppy trainer (ie Amy) even before your pup arrives so you’re well and truly aware of your responsibilities and your puppy’s needs.
Unsocial pups run the risk of being re-homed and even abandoned. See what happens when you don’t get a proper education? OMG my mum was right all along!
I’ll leave my first video attempt of Mace the Boston Terrier puppy trying very hard to pay attention in class and a few images of Amy. Ah - reminds me of days gone by....
More puppies in class here.
Hi Jx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea-I esp like the photos of the dog sitting close and looking up attentively. Very nice indeed to see a pictorial series as the dog progresses through training as well..
